Clean, modern design with a pleasant atmosphere.
We encountered significant frustrations with the digital check-in process, which proved to be more complex than necessary. The room lock malfunctioned during our stay, leading to long waits and a lack of proper assistance from the staff. Additionally, the reception was hardly staffed. at one point, we had to wait a long time before someone attended to us, highlighting a lack of organization.

The room I stayed in was clean and the modern design really made the space feel fresh and inviting, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring Kyoto.
However, I found the digital check-in process cumbersome and the lack of concierge service forced us to manage requests through a sister hotel, which was inconvenient.

The location is fantastic—just a short walk from the Nishiki Market shopping district, and it's easy to hop on the metro. The Essential Queen with bathtub room is spacious, clean, and really comfy. Plus, the staff were always there to help, and the common area with a kitchen was a nice bonus!
Check-in was a bit awkward and took longer than expected.

great location but check-in needs improvement
The hotel has an excellent location near the metro which made exploring the city easy. The Essential King room was well-designed, clean, and provided a relaxing atmosphere after a busy day. The staff were very responsive when I messaged them, which added to my overall comfort during the stay. I also appreciated the convenience of nearby dining options which were a short walk away.
The check-in process was a bit cumbersome and could be confusing for first-time visitors.

Equal parts impressive and disappointing
The room was spacious and well appointed, featuring a HUGE comfortable bed and a nice small seating area that created a cozy atmosphere.
The check-in process was a bit strange for us at first. it required some patience navigating the system but we soon got registered with the desk staff's help.

Clean rooms and a comfortable stay
I had a lovely experience at this hotel with a super clean room and modern design that made me feel right at home. The location was also excellent, just a short walk from the metro, making it easy to explore Kyoto. Unfortunately, the check-in process was quite confusing and required more interaction with the app than I expected, which dampened the experience a bit.

I stayed in the Essential King room for 3 nights, and it was super clean and modern. Felt new as soon as I walked in! The shower had strong pressure, and the WiFi was solid. The fogged windows didn’t let in a view, but there was enough light. Overall, a comfy spot to come back to after a day out exploring!
